Angel Beats!

Anime review?! I think not.

Image from Anime News Network

I'm pretty shocked that for once I managed to watch an entire series WITHOUT my dad. However it's pretty short, so it makes no difference. 13 episodes of Angel Beats! are probably worth only 5 GIFs.

The characters rebel against God, whom they think has made their past lives unfair and unjust. Wait, unfair and unjust are the same thing. Anyway, there is no 'God'. It's just some dude trying to mess with people. It's a comedic and cutie show, with a portion of 'tears' category, but if you see it in another angle...

Otonashi Yuzuru, the series' protagonist, has amnesia and couldn't remember how he died. Where have I heard this plot before? He meets Nakamura Yuri, the person who first setup this whole plot of rebelling against God. Somehow this gal misunderstands Kanade Tachibana, AKA Angel's intentions of helping people pass on. One by one the members of the squad has their wish fulfilled, and disappears. All left are only Otonashi and Angel. And guess what? PLOT TWIST!

Otonashi relieved memories before his death. He was trapped underground for 7 days with serious injury, but didn't live to see the light, which happened right after his passing. SCIENCE FACT! Seriously, I don't even think living trapped underground with about 7-8 people is possible. The lack of oxygen would've killed them all, plus the oxidization that was occurring in the dead bodies. Even with food or water, with so much people and germs to share oxygen with, and no sunlight, nobody will live to see the next sunrise. Back to topic, before his death, Otonashi signed up for organ donation (or whatever that is), and his heart ended up with guess who? Kanade! Yup! Her wish is to thank the donor for giving her life, and by doing so, she passes on... and until now I still haven't figured Otonashi's regret. He can pass on actually.

Not much of a plot twist, but the last scene was horribly, terribly tear-jerking. Well, not as heart-breaking as Ghibli's Grave of the Fireflies, but for real emotional people, this is a trigger. Heck, I didn't even shed a tear when I first watched Zack's death (but took me a few times before my tear gland could work simultaneously with the scene)!

I especially love TK in the show. His English is just as gay as sawg. Period.

"Knockin' on heaven's door!"

Hope, not Hope?

Hope Estheim, not considered bishie, but always in my tastes... undergone some really shocking changes.

From this:
Age: 14

To this:
Age: 24 - 27

And then this:
Age: 527

What are you playing at, Square?
...how Hope has matured in the intervining time since Lightning last saw him will be one of the game's core themes.
Are you trying to fool me?
Wait, being mature doesn't mean you need to grow in physical appearance, but still... Snow has it! He is even 521 (surprisingly younger than Hope in both 13-2 and LR, considering he's older than the later by 7 years in 13)!

Square is being a -beep-.

The Most Depressing Day in Fictional Life

The fictional life never fails to entertain me, no matter what condition I am in. However I have to admit that today was quite depressing.

Final Fantasy versus XIII has been announced as the new Final Fantasy XV, introduced into PS4. This is horrific! Not the renaming part, but the gaming platform! PS4?! How many years will that be until I can get hold of it?!

Kingdom Hearts III announced at E3, also in PS4. Bloody hell. My most awaited KH game actually DID end up in the newest feature of Sony.

New Mirror's Edge with Faith back in PS4. .... Okay, I'm so done for.

Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag is in both PS3 and PS4. Good thing it's true... for now.

The first PS2 game I ever finished was Tales of the Abyss.
The first PS3 game I ever finished (story-line wise) was Assassin's Creed Brotherhood.
Surprising that games of both gaming platforms are NOT of Final Fantasy series. *facepalm*

ONGOING! to Harry Potter, which has my attention 24-hours. OTPs are really getting scarce in there don't you think? I was reading *ashamed* the harry-draco stuff... because they don't have others in the site. *runsaway* DON'T KILL ME PLEASE!

Amusing Penang Trip

Before I start, here's an ACCURATE video:

Girls on their period. Totally accurate, especially the sneeze part. She should add the one about us getting up from sitting position. XD

I messed up my lunch today. Real messed up.

PENANG TRIP!

Went to Penang for 3 days 2 nights, and I have to tell you I'm living hell every night. Lemme list all the problems I think are amusing:

1. No time management. We won't be on our way until 9 in the morning. Because of late bloomers, there's a terrible traffic jam. Usually if you start early traffic won't be a prob.
2. Ignore the traffic rules. They used the emergency lane, and their 13-year-old daughter doesn't even know what that lane is for! (facepalm)
3. The mother is too loving and responsible. She is all I could wish for during my childhood. She does everything for her kids and now her kids doesn't even want to move a muscle.
4. Everybody knows that vacations are supposed to relax. Their eldest son is forced to do his school homework in the hotel. Is that relaxing?
5. Shouting! All I could hear in the hotel room everyday is the mother shouting her kids to clean up this and that, like, you know, underwear on the floor. *snickers*
6. Sleeping like dead pigs. Especially the daughter. I know I couldn't sleep without a bed, and I'm sleeping on the floor with the daughter. I woke up at 2 in the morning because my back aches. Second time at 5, where her arm hit my face. I swear I'm never ever gonna sleep on the floor again.
7. I did tell you that the kids won't move an inch right? Their clothes are all prepared by the mother, even underwear.

It is amusing, but maybe not to you all, because you might think I'm the amusing one, as we're minority.

But everybody's wrong. They all say that the only child in the family tends to be dependent on parents, while those with siblings will be have to work their own problems. Is that the case? Is that really what happened in the family above? No. My mother taught me everything I needed to know so that I could at least survive without her presence. All my luggage, I prepared them myself. My luggage has a 2-meter radius, which my stuff wouldn't go further than that. So I hardly lose my stuff during trips.

Is it true that an only child will be spoilt and dependent? i don't think so.

Guess What...?

I'm so done with my life. Assassin's Creed is killing my ASS. After playing as Ezio for only a few hours, I got addicted, and started to hunt dA stuff. Guess what I found? 'Assassin' is spelled with two 'ass'es, as in 'ASS-ASS-IN'. So when they make a comment on Malik's (or probably Altair's) arse, they say, "TAT ASSassin". Quite humorous.

Made a fail GIF for my fail posts and expressions.

Did you just see how Yuna fell? Technically, her feet was not tangled. She just tripped and fell pass Tidus. BEST. FAIL. EVER. Oh, and one more thing, gals gotta see this post. That guy totally got owned.

Eternal Light

My blog is now being neglected. Well, I'm better than some of my other friends whose last post was like, a year ago. That is what you call dead.
Today, other than reviving my blog, I'm here to share an epic soundtrack, which, after listening, I wasn't able to stop.

Lux Aeterna, meaning eternal light, was one of my listed fave soundtracks, other than Dearly Beloved and To Zanarkand. EPIC! LISTEN TO IT NOW!

This is Bad Apple of Touhou short version. Loud song if you ask me. Shadow art? Great! And to ease my ramblings, here's some of my tear-jerking faves, don't watch if not interested.

Zack's death... I cried true tears watching the Japanese version (the English was just a turn off), and the last scene in Advent Children made me tear-bend again.

Who will Roxas have ice-cream with? LOL sarcastic question.

Mirror's Edge~

MEMEMEMEMEMEMEME~~~~~~
Finally found Mirror's Edge in a game store at Sunway Pyramid. If I didn't look around the counter for a bit, I would have never ever noticed the bright red label at the back shelf. GODAMNIT!

"That one, the third from the top."
"This?"
"Yes~!" (*O*)
Aaaaaand tada! Got addicted. The scenery is great and all, but I'm using a teeny tiny screen, so the the details can't be found and high-res graphics are not for admiration. T__T

Hard Decisions

The second standardized test has already started and I. DON'T. KNOW. WHAT. TO. DO. History? The teacher didn't even teach us the third chapter! Additional Mathematics? Our teacher didn't enter the class, gave us some shitty notes and expects us to read and understand the whole thing. My mom? She says it's time I make my decisions: change schools, or not?

To tell the truth, I was tempted to change to my mom's school. It has a big field, big buildings, and during cross country they run around the Taiping Lake. I could go anywhere with the bicycle and my life would be free. The catch? I hate new environments. No Popular bookstore. No comic store. No game store. No book fair. Less internet fun. If not overall the offer is pretty tempting.

BICYCLE MADNESS!!!
