Feels everywhere. What can be more saddening than the death of a favorite character? What can be more touching than an unexpected reunion? This game is just full of feels.
Tales of the Abyss has to be one of my fave PS2 games, second only to Final Fantasy XII (or was it Final Fantasy X-2?) I watched the anime before I started playing, which means I totally forgot the whole plot.
Game-2006
Anime-2008
When I bought and beat the game-2011
Second playthrough-2013
A whole two years after I beat the game, I decided to replay it. All because of the OST! The feels in the near end of the game is overwhelming! Too overwhelming! When I remembered Asch died... Ion died... Luke's change, his disappearance... I decided to replay it.
Of course, there are always happy memories. When Luke fell into short coma, and I get to play Asch... DO YOU KNOW HOW HOT HE IS?! I'm serious, his status picture is just OMG and the party head-shot was Asch smiling! SMILING YOU GET IT! Maybe I should take some pictures of them (cause you can't find any in the f***in' internet). There's also Emperor Peony the Ninth, who is the second bishie of ToA of mine after Asch. His full name is too funny to be mentioned, so ima gonna upload some of his bishie face...
He is badass, baby. No one could beat his sexy voice and awesome personality. Lemme tell you his romantic story. He preserved a town which has the potential of being a commercialized resort JUST because his first love did not want to see the town change. The reason Peony didn't marry was also because he can't forget about her, and he's already 36. He has a few pet rappigs, all which have amusing names, especially Cute Jade. SHIPPING! Peony and Jade go well together.
I transferred all the Gald from the last save file, which was 370,000++, to the next gameplay. Suddenly in Grand Chokmah there's only about 33,000+ left. The game is not even halfway! WTF! Where the hell has all the money gone?! Grrr... I'll have to earn them back again by force. After Luke's second haircut, some events got into me. How you earn trust in days, in months, in years, and lose them in mere seconds. The hardship he faced when earning back his companions' trust, that one Guy that wouldn't abandon him though his attitude just sucks, and Anise's constant mocking and teasing. Oh, the feels! I'm starting to look into the game with more 'depth', unlike the first gameplay.
RAMBLING ALERT!
An interesting fact I found: The Grand Fonic Hymn, also known as Fuka, has seven verses based on the seven fonons. Each fonon is a verse, and each verse is a hymn. After some observation I realized that whenever Tear casts a hymn she'll sing a verse from the Fuka based on the fonon. When all the hymns are sung together in one song then you get the Grand Fonic Hymn. By now I only have the first, second and third hymns, meaning the first three verses of the Fuka.
